Well, not in Castro Valley by the big forest. It is very cold in Awgust. See that wite stuff? That is bone chilling fog. The lake below us and the hills make it. It looks like whut comes owt of smokers' mowths, iexcept it's colder and bigger and it duzn't stink. It comes win the sun sets, and it stays all nite and most of the day. Fog keeps Mr Sun frum shining down on us. That meens it gits cold. I'm a skinny hairless runt, and I can tell yoo that Awgust is abowt the coldest munth of the hole yeer, heer by the big forest.

Oh Skeeezix, you got to come to Norf Carolina some time! It is toasty warm heer all the way into Septembrr! And even then it's still pretty warm and mom has the windows open and the nise breezes blow in and all the good smells - yummy...It doesn't reely get chilly until in Octobrr.

Hey Skeezix, is that the Toolie fog Mom's heard bout? Our August is comfy, not too warm or too cold, but last night was furry furry stormy an the power wint out. We had a tomato warning, too, whatefur that is.

VT -- It diffrent than Toolie fog, I'm told. Toolie Fog is in a diffrent part of Kaliforneeya, by ware the Food Lady grew up. Toolie fog is very very thik and cozzes car crashes. This fog is not as thik.

Just so you know, Skeez, that's a diffrint Patches. Patches Lady isn't a Norwejun Forest Cat, she's a Big Piney Woods Calico Cat. I've noticed that sumtimes there's more than one cat wif a certain name.
But I'm pretty sure there's only one Skeezix.
Mom and Dad lived in several parts of Catifornia an nefur sawed the Toolie Fog. Maybe it's a legend. You know, a mist myth!!!

I'm pritty shoor we've never had a tomato warning. If we did, I'd be shoor to tell Rocky the Gutter Cat so that a tomato woodn't land on him and hert him.
