Jackelopes

I saw this pikchur this morning wich shows sum creechurs called "Jackelopes," wich look like cat-sized verzhuns of the vishus deer. So now, in addishun to ardvarks, do we have to worry abowt jackelopes, too? Since they're small, they aren't as scary as the vishus deer, but they cood get into small hiding places better than the vishus deer can. And it looks like they have powerfull hind legs wich meens they can probably jump high -- like onto the upstares balcony ware my catroom is. Jackelopes are sumthing called a "hokes" wich I tride to look up on m-w.com, but maybe I spelld it rong becuz I coodn't find it. I'll need to do more reseerch. I have my big bruther Mao and Rocky on the lookout for Jackelopes now as well as aardvarks. I look out my balconey into the big forest evry day, but I still haven't seen anything besides berdies and skunks and possums and coonz. Any of yoo guys seen a Jackelope?

I have not seen these! They look like something that may live around us though.
The Lap Lady said Nextel used to have a commercial that had antenna-lopes!!! Those were like African deer with huge antenna's that transmitted celery-phone calls. Do you think those are in the woods too?
Hmmmm, now whut are the chanses that the wite rat spelld "hokes" rong?? Let me think for a minit... like maybe 99.9%???? It's a HOAX yoo dimwit!
The woods is soundin scarier an scarier! First layzer eye deer an now this! I'm stayin in the howse from now on. I won't give up bird watchin, but I sure don't want to see any of these scary beasties.
I fink I'll just hide behind Bonnie. She's the scariest beasty I know.
Mao, it can't be HOAX, that doesn't sound rite. Hoe-axe are two tools.
There is something making a weird noise in the Big Piney Woods, in the dark time. I am sure it is a Jackelope.

We must have some in our neighborhood!! Our neighbor has a sign with a picture of them on it that says Jackalope Crossing. My owner says it's a joke but now I'm not so sure...
I still haven't gotten a picture of our neighbor's sign but my owner lived for a year in Wyoming and he says jackalopes are all over out there on postcard racks. Anyway, I found a place where you can buy STUFFED jackalopes that have died and been put on display. http://www.jackalopejunction.com/Jackalopes_for.html Expensive and scary, if you ask ME...
